A suburban theater established in 1959 by Huang Gongzhi (黃公直) and Ning Luming (甯呂明), mostly to serve the many military dependents’ villages in the area. Initially it was an open-air theater, but a more permanent structure was built in 1966. The theater was completely renovated (or perhaps demolished and rebuilt, it is unclear which) but its memory is preserved in a mural on one of the buildings in the alleyways to the north of the original site.
