Established by Fu Yuanqi (傅元熾) in 1940 as Kokō-za (湖口座), this small theater and playhouse with a capacity of 400 remained in operation until it was destroyed in a fire in 1970. It was not the only theater in the family; Fu Yuanqi’s son managed the nearby Diyi Theater. The original location was on Minquan Road.
