One of 35 settlements established for evacuees from the Dachen Islands following their retreat to Taiwan in 1955. This village was originally home to 118 households and 467 residents, most of whom were from Upper Dachen Island (上大陳島) and Nanji Island (南麂島). The center of faith for this community is Rixin Yangfu Temple (日新楊府廟). Overall it looks more lively and interesting than the other Dachen villages in Gaoshu.
