One of 35 communities established for evacuees from the Dachen Islands in 1955. This village along the riverbank in Gaoshu, Pingtung, had around 112 households with 381 residents when it was new, with only around 20 households remaining into the 2010s. Most residents were from Nanji Island (南麂島) and were engaged in farming.
