One of approximately 35 villages set aside for residents of the Dachen Islands after they were evacuated to Taiwan in 1955. Located in Su’ao, Yilan, This was one of the larger settlements, with 320 households and 1,335 residents mainly employed as fishermen or as boat builders in the shipyards. Over the years most residents have emigrated, and as of around 2010 only around 5 households remained of the original cohort who came from the Dachen Islands.
