A sprawling hillside complex with many kilometers of tunnels, camouflaged entrances, and gun emplacements. It was constructed with the expectation of an Allied landing in Pingtung toward the end of World War 2 but never saw any action. Due to its remote location it was mostly lost over subsequent decades, but since the area was redeveloped as a solar energy farm, it has entered into national discourse as a case study in heritage preservation. It is notable for having secret entrances behind a land god temple and a fake tomb, both still standing. Recognized for its heritage value in 2025. Also more generally known as the Shitouying Bunker (石頭營碉堡) or Shitouying World War 2 Japanese Army Bunker (二戰日軍軍事碉堡).
