A small and mostly depopulated village originally built for refugees from the Dachen Islands in 1955. Initially it was home to 150 households and 690 residents, many of them soon employed in sugarcane cultivation. The spiritual center of the village is Dongshan Yangfu Temple (東山楊府廟), but it typically isn’t open to the public except on special occasions.
