A golden era theater in Chiayi City. It operated as Xinguomin Theater (新國民戲院) between 1982 and 1987. The theater was destroyed by a fire in 1998, presumably long after it went out of business. The site was an empty lot for many years, but in the late 2010s a new commercial complex was built on this site, and it is now home to the Chiayi branch of the In89 Cineplex (嘉義In89豪華影城).
