An early post-war theater hidden in an alleyway in Chiayi City. Established in 1946 as Xingzhong Theater (興中戲院), named after the surrounding market. It was sold and renamed in 1980 and operated until 1997. There is a signboard at the entrance to the alleyway on Zhongzheng Road (中正路) and the exterior still has cases for movie posters. Due for demolition as of 2025 but it’s still standing in early 2026.
