The official residence of the president of the Taiwan Electric Power Company (臺灣電力株式會社), built in the 1930s. It is located in a walled compound near the Presidential Office. The original complex included both Western and Japanese-style wings, though only the Western portion survives. After 1945 it served as a central government guesthouse and later as the residence of the Taiwan Provincial Governor (臺灣省主席官邸). Directly across the street stood the Taipower headquarters itself, which was destroyed in the 1945 Taipei air raids. Although designated a heritage structure it is not open to the public.
