Golden age theater in central Yujing, likely established in or around 1950 as a venue for traditional opera and performance, with regular film screenings. As with most other theaters of this vintage business was good heading into the 1970s but dropped precipitously in the 1980s as home television and video became the norm. Likely closed in the mid-1980s. Later renovated into or replaced by Renren Supermarket (人人新超市). There is a decent chance the former theater façade still exists beneath a sheet metal covering, and the columns at the front of the supermarket are certainly original, but there isn’t much to see on site as of 2025.
