The second-generation Yilan Public Hall was built in 1932 in Yilan Park. After the war it was rented out for use as a movie theater, but suffered a fire in 1976 and was demolished. While it was a theater it went by several different names: Datong Theater (大同戲院), Gongyuan Theater (公園大戲院), and perhaps Daguan Theater (大觀戲院).
