Yilan Victory Monument (宜蘭獻馘碑) - Spectral Codex

A stone and marble monument erected in 1909 in the newly founded Yilan Park (宜蘭公園) to commemorate Han settlers killed by Indigenous groups during the early settlement of Yilan. The Tayal of Nanao and Xitou (南澳、溪頭) surrendered in 1909 following Japanese subjugation campaigns; their weapons and collected skulls were buried beneath the base of the monument. Built with marble from Danan’ao (大南澳), it was designated a county monument in 2004.
