A jungle trail in the low hills east of Xinhua that winds through the ruins of a Cold War ROC Army training complex, reportedly built to rehearse operations in a Viet Cong village ahead of possible deployment to Vietnam. The overgrown site includes several ersatz residences, a mock shrine, a fake tomb with a hidden entrance, bunkers, and a network of collapsed tunnels. Marked on local signage as the Ganlanshan Hiking Trail (橄欖山登山步道), the complex is still referred to by locals as the Viet Cong Village (越共村).
