A famous ruin opposite Caodong Monastery (曹洞寺) at the end of Xinglin Lane in Beitou. It was supposedly constructed by the owner of Huanan Hotel (華南大飯店) and gutted in a fire. Squatters have since moved in and might not appreciate visitors. The structure is also very precarious and could collapse at any time. Although sometimes referred to as Jiaotong Hotel (交通大飯店) this is another site altogether.
