A large traditional residence in the Shuimei (水美) area of Waipu, Taichung, built for the Li family, Hokkien migrants from Jinjiang in Fujian who had earlier settled in Yuanli. Construction began in 1903 under Li Dengci (李登賜) and took roughly two decades, producing an elaborate three-hall, multi-wing courtyard compound. The family grew wealthy trading sugar, a business they abandoned once the modern Yuemei Sugar Factory was built nearby. The residence is known for its decorative majolica tilework and remains privately owned.
