Established in 1715 just outside the city walls of Tainan and specifically Dongmen, the eastern gate, this temple venerates Guanyin, the Goddess of Mercy. It was demolished in the early 1930s during a road widening project and relocated. Renovated several times over the years, most recently around 2005.
