Tainan Jinhua Temple (臺南金華府) - Spectral Codex
Tainan Jinhua Temple (臺南金華府)

Established by Xu-surnamed dock workers from Jinjiang, Quanzhou (泉州晉江), who brought a Guandi idol from their hometown to the Five Channels (五條港) area. The temple is wedged into a shophouse footprint on what was once Beishi Street (北勢街), now Shennong Street (神農街), one of Tainan’s big tourist attractions. Designated a municipal monument in 2005, its limited scale and small congregation meant it was largely neglected for decades, inadvertently preserving much of its original character. It is one of few temples in Tainan suffixed “fu” ().
