Established in 1665 by Zheng Jing (鄭經), son of Zheng Chenggong (鄭成功), this is one of Taiwan’s earliest temples venerating Lord Guan (關帝). Also known as Tainan Grand Guandi Temple (臺南大關帝廟), it is located south of Chihkan Tower and is one of the “Seven Temples and Eight Shrines” (七寺八廟) of historic Tainan.
