An old Mazu temple likely founded in what is now the Five Channels Cultural Zone (五條港文化園區) in the early 1750s, presumably by dockworkers and sailors. As with most other such temples it has an extensive history of reconstructions, with the current design and footprint dating to around 1985. It suffered a fire in 2001 and was rebuilt in 2007. This temple provides an interesting example of “foreigners holding up the eaves” (憨番扛廟角) in the form of two Dutch figurines on the exterior.
