A historic 1930s department store (林百貨店) revitalized in the new millennium. It still has classic charm and there are a number of interesting features of the building including a Shinto shrine on the rooftop (林百貨樓頂末廣神社) established in either June 1932 or May 1933. Additionally, some damage from allied bombing and strafing in World War 2 has been preserved. An essential stop when visiting Tainan.
