A 1925 railway freight office next to Shetou Railway Station founded by local businessman Xiao Yuan (蕭園) to transport vegetables, grain, and fertilizer. At its peak, the company supplied 80% of greater Taipei’s vegetables via rail. The business declined after road transport supplanted rail and ceased operations; the building was damaged in the 921 Earthquake and restored between 2004 and 2005. It now houses the Taiwan Hosiery Museum (台灣織襪文物館), which promotes the local sock industry.
