Kaneko Nobuya, Yeren Publishing House, 2020

A book by Kaneko Nobuya (金子展也), a businessman stationed in Taiwan from 2001 to 2006 who became a researcher of overseas Shinto shrines at Kanagawa University. The book documents approximately 230 Shinto shrines built in Taiwan during the half century of Japanese colonial rule. The Chinese edition was translated by Chen Xianruo (陳嫻若) and published by Yeren Publishing House (野人) in 2020. Kaneko also authored a travel guide to former shrine sites in Taiwan (舊台灣神社故地の旅行指南) and served as a councillor for the Taiwan Association (台灣協會). The book was originally accompanied by a blog of the same name, which was lost when its hosting provider shut down in 2025; only partial archives remain, but they are linked throughout this project where available.
