A former Shinto shrine established in September 1938 as Sobun-jinja (曾文神社) on the eastern margins of Madou, Tainan. It replaced an earlier Madou Shinto Shrine (麻豆神社) established in 1914 and relocated in 1923 before it was formally abolished. Construction began in April 1937 and the enshrinement ceremony was held on March 19, 1938. Initially unranked (無格社), it was upgraded to a district shrine (鄉社) in 1944, and managed two branch shrines in nearby Liujia (六甲神社) and Xiaying (下營神社). Not much remains except some stone steps leading up to a pomelo orchard and the original platform, which is now occupied by a private residence.
