富士見駐在所

Scant remnants of a police garrison, likely known as Fujimi (富士見), on a terrace above the Nenggao Crossing Trail near the 2 kilometer mark in Ren’ai, Nantou. It was established in 1931 after the Wushe Incident (霧社事件), and its name, meaning “Fuji view”, refers to the outline of Mahaipu Fuji Mountain (馬海濮富士山) visible from the site.

I’m originally from Toronto, Canada, but spend most of my time residing in Taiwan.
