A small settlement of 33 households at 2,044 meters elevation near Qingjing Farm (清境農場), established in 1961 for Yunnanese guerrilla fighters and their ethnic minority dependents who were evacuated from the Burma-Yunnan borderlands. The younger couples among the 253 arrivals were assigned to this higher, colder site above the main Qingjing settlement.
