Inaugurated on December 25th, 1920, as Seisui Station on the newly-built Coast Line in what is now Qingshui. The original wooden station house was destroyed in the 1935 Hsinchu-Taichung Earthquake and the present reinforced concrete and brown tile replacement was completed in 1936. It is now a class 3 station served by most trains running along the Coast Line, handling an average of approximately 2,770 passengers per day as of 2024.
