Built on the eastern margins of Lukang in 1919 by the Meiji Sugar Company, this small sugar railway junction served the Yuanlin Line (員林線),the Yuanxi Line (員西線), and two branches of the Lukang Line (鹿港線). Passenger service ended in 1975 and freight in 1997, when sugar transport across the network was wound down. The single-storey station building survives in well-kept condition on Changlu Road, the largest reminder of a once dense web of narrow-gauge sugar lines running across the fertile plains of Changhua.
