土壟灣發電所

A hydroelectric station drawing on the Laonong River (荖濃溪) in Liugui, Kaohsiung. Construction began in 1911 and completed in 1917, with the plant producing electricity from January 1918, when it was one of the main sources of power for the construction of Kaohsiung Harbor (高雄港). Its German machinery ran until 1992 and was replaced by two Francis turbines commissioned in 1994, raising capacity from 3.1 to 4.5 megawatts. Administratively the plant merged with Zhuzimen Power Plant in 1977 and still operates, unstaffed and remotely controlled, as the Liugui unit of Kaoping Power Plant (高屏發電廠六龜機組). It is not known to be open to the public.
