An old Rukai Indigenous settlement in the mountains of Kaohsiung. It was forcibly depopulated in the 1940s but the foundations of more than 60 houses remain. Sometime in the 2000s it was briefly cleaned up and turned into a tourist attraction, albeit one remote and difficult to reach, but disasters like Typhoon Morakot (颱風莫拉克) in 2009 led to being semi-abandoned again. Nowadays it is probably visited by hunters and families of the former residents. Also known by various other names such as Manzhai Community (芒仔社), Maya Community (瑪雅社), and Old Maolin (舊茂林). The romanization of the Rukai name is also spelled Teldreka in some sources.
