A series of six road tunnels completed in 1937 to provide passage through the precarious gravel cliffs of 18 Arhats Mountain (十八羅漢山) into Liugui proper. Numerous disasters befell the tunnels over the years and they were eventually abandoned in the early 2000s. Although they are not ordinarily open to visitors not all of the tunnels have barriers to entry. Appropriate precautions should be taken to avoid rockfall.
