An extensive tunnel system built in 1943 by the Japanese military to defend against potential US landing operations in southern Taiwan. Part of an extensive network of tunnels dug into the Fengshan Hills, this section near Qingshuiyan is the best preserved, featuring single and double-layer passages constructed primarily of coral stone (咾咕石).
