Marine Corps Training Wall (海軍陸戰隊訓練城牆) - Spectral Codex

A mock fortification built by the Marine Corps 99th Division in 1962 to practice siege warfare as part of preparations for retaking mainland China. Modeled after Zuoying Old City, the wall was constructed atop Japanese World War 2 gun emplacements and connected to a tunnel system running beneath Provincial Highway 17 to the coast. Chiang Kai-shek inspected training exercises here in November 1962. It has long been abandoned but sparks curiosity for its unusual appearance and regularly appears in the news.
