Established in 1936 as Inazumi-za (稻住座) or Inazumi-kan (稻住館), reputedly the most popular theater of the three entertainment venues in Japanese colonial Hualien. It became one of 19 theaters nationalized by the KMT after arriving in Taiwan, after which it was renamed. It was possibly renamed Zhonghua Theater (中華戲院) toward the end of its existence and subsequently demolished sometime in the late 1980s or early 1990s. The plot of land is now occupied by Arsma Hotel (阿思瑪麗景大飯店).
