Completed in 1936, this second-generation martial arts hall was located in central Hualien City around the intersection of what is now Zhongshan Road (中山路) and Zhonghua Road (中華路). It was heavily damaged by US bombing during World War 2. In the post-war period it was refurbished and converted into Hualien Zhongzheng Hall (花蓮中正堂).
