Originally established as Wenming Theater (文明戲院), a wooden performance venue. Likely renamed after the theater was completely rebuilt as a cinema, possibly in the early 1960s. Business records begin in 1963 and end in 2013, but it has probably been out of business for longer than that, partly because the owners now live elsewhere in Taiwan. Some attempt has been made to sell the site in recent years, and it is fairly well-secured and not open to exploration as of 2024.
