A small military dependents’ village established in 1973 for 14 households from ROCAF engineering and base support units in Hsinchu, its two-storey reinforced concrete homes owned outright by residents who repaid their housing loans over 20 years. Until around 2020 a sign for the community stood on the main road at the entrance to Dongda Road Sec. 2, Lane 660 (東大路二段660巷).
