Twin theaters on the north side of Hsinchu City established in a commercial tower around 1982. Qinghua Theater (清華戲院) and Jiahua Theater (嘉華戲院) were both an outgrowth of Huayang Theater (華揚大戲院), which was located across the street in an older building.
