A shrine built on the site of a mass grave for Qing soldiers of the Huai Army (淮軍). Led by Tang Dingkui (唐定奎), this army was dispatched to the Hengchun Peninsula during an 1875 campaign against the Paiwan Indigenous people. Many soldiers died in combat, but many more died from disease and exposure. It is also known as the Fangliao Martyrs’ Shrine (枋寮昭忠祠). Wanxing Gongma Temple also traces its history back to the same campaign.
