Bai Chongxi (白崇禧, 1893–1966) was a prominent Republican Chinese general nicknamed Little Zhuge (小諸葛), and the first Minister of National Defense of the Republic of China, who followed the Kuomintang retreat to Taiwan in 1949. A devout Muslim, in 1963 he built this walled tomb garden, formally named Bairong Yintang Cemetery (白榕蔭堂墓園), within the Liuzhangli Muslim Cemetery (六張犁回教公墓) following the passing of his wife, Ma Peizhang (馬佩璋). He was interred here after his own death in 1966. Designed by his son and rare in Taiwan for its scale, the Islamic complex features two memorial archways, a domed pavilion, and a small prayer hall, decorated with crescents and Arabic calligraphy. It was designated a municipal monument in 2012.
