峨眉富興製茶工廠

A branch of the Tseng family (曾家) settled here under the auspices of the Jinguangfu reclamation company in 1883 and began producing tea. Their factory, rebuilt after the 1935 earthquake, made black tea and later green tea until it closed in the early 1990s; it now houses a tea museum with its belt-driven machinery intact. Beside it stands Luguo Shidi (魯國世第), the family’s two-hall residence, also rebuilt after the earthquake in an eclectic Chinese and Western fusion style. Behind these is the Tseng Zhengzhang Residence (曾正章宅), a three-bay house once used as offices for the local farmers’ association and included with the others in a heritage listing granted in 2006.
