Shengxiangtang Fuxing Factory (盛香堂復興廠) — The exterior of the old cosmetics factory.

This former factory in East District belonged to Shengxiangtang (盛香堂), a cosmetics maker best known for its Cellina (雪芙蘭) skincare line. Founded in 1931, the company claims to have been the first registered cosmetics manufacturer in Taiwan. It set up a factory on this site in 1954 and completed the present three-storey building in 1962. After years of vacancy the factory reopened in 2021 as Fusion Space 1962 (富興工廠1962), a creative hub that retains much of the original fabric, down to the laboratory benches. Tenants include a vinyl record shop, a vintage barber, a café, and assorted boutiques, while the central courtyard hosts markets and exhibitions.

Vintage Attic at Shengxiangtang Fuxing Factory (盛香堂復興廠) — The top floor has one of the most elaborate vintage shops I’ve seen in Taiwan. Plenty of interesting books and knickknacks, carefully curated.
