An early post-war theater established in 1950 in the village of Shanzhuhu (珊珠湖) in rural Toufen. It catered to the many miners passing through this area in those days. Around 1960 the theater was donated to the Catholic church, becoming Shanzhuhu Catholic Church (珊珠瑚天主堂) in the process. It was completely destroyed in a landslide after flooding brought on by Typhoon Fuan (芙安颱風) in 1970. From the sounds of it the theater was built on a precarious slope that failed. Only the gateposts showing the name of the church on the main street remain today.
