A two-screen cinema on the second floor of Jiale Building (嘉樂大廈), a 12-storey mixed residential and commercial building at the intersection of Dunhua South Road and Heping East Road completed in 1979. Operated by Central Motion Picture Corporation (中影), it opened in 1980 as Meihua Theater (梅花戲院). CMPC ownership disputes and competition from chain cinemas forced it to close in 2007. After Guo Taiqiang (郭台強) acquired CMPC in 2009, it reopened in 2010 as Blossom Cinema and reinvented itself as an arthouse venue for indie and art films. It closed in April 2025, making Daan Taipei’s third district without a cinema.
