Established in 1979 and out of business by 1989, this was almost certainly a second-run theater, or set of theaters. Three different theaters have this same address; apart from Donghai Theater there is also Longfeng Theater (龍鳳戲院) and Xingchuan Theater (星船大戲院). Either these were separate businesses or one of the original theaters was sold and renamed. In any case, this building might be the original structure, but this is presently unconfirmed, and there is no visible trace of any cinema business left on the exterior. Additional investigation is required.
