Established in 1979 and out of business by 1989, this was almost certainly a second-run theater, or set of theaters. Three different theaters have this same address; apart from Donghai Theater there is also Longfeng Theater (龍鳳戲院) and Xingchuan Theater (星船大戲院). Either these were separate businesses or one of the original theaters was sold and renamed. In any case, this building might be the original structure, but there is currently no obvious trace of the cinematic businesses that once operated here.
