Chiayi Public Hall (嘉義公會堂) - Spectral Codex

Completed in 1920, this asymmetrical European-style brick building featured the largest restaurant in Taiwan at the time, seating up to 1,000 guests, and served as a popular venue for cultural gatherings and exhibitions. After the war it was seized by the KMT and renamed Zhongshan Hall (中山堂). It was demolished in 1989 and replaced by Zhongzheng Park (中正公園).
