The two surviving wooden dormitories of a group of ten built in 1936 to house staff of the Bank of Taiwan’s Changhua branch, which opened two years earlier. They housed the branch manager and his deputy and were registered as a historic building in 2012, shortly before the other eight dormitories on the site were demolished to make way for a new bank office. As of early 2026 they are under reconstruction and not yet open to the public.
