A row of shophouses on Zhongshan Road (中山路) in Yuanlin originally founded as Changchun Hospital by Dr. Lin Hu (林糊) in either 1921 or 1925. Lin Hu was a prominent cultural activist and elected official who was arrested and persecuted during the 228 Incident; his family was ruined in the aftermath. The rightmost building was later converted into a credit union (合作金庫). Now home to a pizzeria (披薩工廠員林店) that preserves much of the original interior.
