A small saltworks outside of Haomei Village (好美村) in Budai, established as early as 1906. The Monopoly Bureau opened an outpost at Huweiliao the following year, during the Japanese colonial era. In the post-war period it was integrated into Budai Saltworks (布袋鹽場) as the Tenth Production Area, Fourth Subdistrict (第十生產區第四分區). Most facilities at this site have long been demolished but there are a few reinforced-concrete foundations left, possibly from salt storage facilities (塩納屋).
