A temple to Wulu Caishen (五路財神), a god of wealth, in Beigang, Yunlin, which grew out of a household altar set up in 1963 by a local dispenser of Chinese medicine after a spirit medium told him a deity resided in his home. It moved to its present site in 1980, claiming to be the first temple in Taiwan dedicated to this deity, and by the 2010s had become the largest. Its incinerator, built in 1984, was certified by Guinness World Records as the largest in the world in 2015, and complaints from neighbours over the smoke led the temple to add a second, filtered burner in 2024.
